Scripture Thoughts #1
Genesis 1
Genesis 1:11, God created plants to bear fruit and multiply “Each according to its kind.”
I think we often view order as being restrictive (just another brick in the wall, right?). But where the world has abused order to stifle growth and creativity, God's Holy order of things nurtures it.
God created order for the purpose of fruitfulness. His chosen place to create mankind wasn't a palace or a great city - it was a garden. It was intended to be a place of flowering, multiplication, creativity and beauty.
God's desire for order isn't to stop, block, confine, or restrict growth in our lives, it's to encourage and inspire growth, creativity, and fruitfulness just like the fruits in Eden.
